HADO Augmented Reality (AR) Sport is Play Forward NZ’s flagship pilot service — a future-focused, inclusive movement experience designed to engage tamariki, rangatahi and communities through alternative play.
Using cutting-edge Augmented Reality sport, we create safe, exciting and confidence-building environments where young people who may not connect with traditional activities — including disabled tamariki, young girls, and those who lack confidence — can discover new ways to move and participate. As our pilot programme, AR E-Sport allows us to bring communities together, remove participation barriers, and offer meaningful opportunities for engagement, teamwork and social connection. This is just the beginning of a broader vision: creating movement pathways that empower every individual to feel included, valued and motivated to thrive.

Our in-school programme brings the full HADO AR E-Sport experience directly to your kura.
We set up the arena, provide all equipment, and guide students through fast-paced, confidence-building activities that promote:

Pop-up Community Challenge
The Play Forward NZ Pop-Up Community Challenge is a high-energy, drop-in style activation designed to engage tamariki, rangatahi and the wider community through simple, exciting and confidence-building challenges.
We set up in high-traffic public spaces — beaches, parks, malls, waterfronts, markets and community hubs — and invite everyone to get involved. No registration, no cost, no pressure. Just fun, movement and connection.

Innovative Hackathon Event
We will organize a hackathon focused on innovation and creativity, encouraging young minds to solve real-world problems. Participants will work in teams to develop solutions while gaining practical experience in fields such as technology, design, and entrepreneurship
Youth Leadership Summit
We will facilitate a dynamic leadership summit designed to inspire and develop the next generation of young leaders. Through engaging workshops, powerful keynote sessions from industry experts, and immersive interactive activities, attendees will gain valuable insights into effective leadership and team collaboration.
